Sodalitt er et naturlig mineral kjent for sine
dype blå nyanser kombinert med hvite
eller grå åremønstre.
Mineralet består hovedsakelig av natrium,
aluminium, silisium og klor, og tilhører feltspatgruppen.
Sodalitt har en hardhet på ca. 5,5–6 på Mohs-skalaen
og har ofte et matt til glassaktig preg.
Steinen finnes blant annet i Canada, Brasil, Namibia
og Russland, og brukes både som dekorstein og i utsmykning.
Hver stein har naturlige variasjoner i farge, mønster og struktur.

Sodalite is a natural mineral known for its
deep blue shades combined with white
or gray vein patterns.
The mineral consists mainly of sodium,
aluminum, silicon and chlorine, and belongs to the feldspar group.
Sodalite has a hardness of about 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale
and often has a matte to glassy feel.
The stone is found in, among other places, Canada, Brazil, Namibia
and Russia, and is used both as a decorative stone and in decoration.
Each stone has natural variations in color, pattern and structure.
