over millioner av år i hulrom i vulkansk bergart.
Innsiden består ofte av lag med agat og krystaller
av kvarts, som skaper unike mønstre og fargevariasjoner.
Den slipte overflaten fremhever steinens naturlige struktur,
bånd og krystallformasjoner.
Agat tilhører kvartsfamilien og består hovedsakelig av
silisiumdioksid, med en hardhet på ca. 6,5–7 på Mohs-skalaen.
Forekomster finnes blant annet i Brasil, Uruguay, Mexico og India.
Hver geode er unik i form, farge, mønster og krystallstruktur.
